Las Tablas de Daimiel National Park (TDNP) is a floodplain wetland (16 km2) located at Central Spain in the core of La Mancha Húmeda Biosphere Reserve. The wetland is a LTER platform (or regular site according to the eLTER nomenclature) of the Spanish LTER Network from 2014. Records on plant cover (macrophytes) and inudation are available from 1950s; most meteorological, water/sediment quality and waterfowl data are available from 1980s. Further information about the wetland, the environmental monitoring facilities and available datasets can be consulted below in the DEIMS link. There are two published monograph books about TDNP which contain long-term information on hydrology, climate and biogeochemistry as well as the ecology of the main biological communities existing in the ecosystem and its environment (links are shown below)
TDNP-LTER site is managed by Salvador Sánchez-Carrillo together with Manuel Carrasco (Las Tablas de Daimiel staff). Any question can be addressed to Salva.
